The first 6 years of LUGBZ

The Linux User Group BZ (Bolzano-Bolzen-Bulsan) was the first organiser of the South Tyrolean Linux Day back in 2001. Since then the club has promoted many activities to foster the ideals of the Free Software world. Among them there were workshops, Linux Installation Parties and many press articles. Not to forget about its bi-lingual setting, still uncommon in the local club landscape.

This talk will exhibit some of the picture material from the club’s archive. Since the speaker had not been part of it back then, he will adopt the format of a panel discussion. Two of the very first members will answer the speaker’s questions and tell us enjoyable reminiscences.

Paolo Dongilli is the current FUSS coordinator and has been a former club’s president. Karl Lunger is a CS high-school teacher at the TFO “Max Valier”.
