Ivo Planötscher has been working on the construction of the South Tyrolean geodata infrastructure since the late 1980s.
In 1997, he received the Master of Advanced Studies from the University of Salzburg in “Geographical Information Science and Systems”.
Since fall 2015 he is responsible for the South Tyrolean OpenData portal and for the OpenData Competence Center
