This workshop offers a hands-on, vendor-neutral introduction to anyone who wants to start building mobile apps on the Eclipse Oniro operating system.
Step by step, you will learn how to use DevEco Studio, spin up a fresh Oniro project, and grasp the architecture that underpins Oniro/OpenHarmony. You will practice ArkTS and ArkUI’s declarative model by building an application interface and wiring stateful components with decorators, events, and a lightweight MVVM skeleton for basic interactivity. Finally, you will explore component lifecycles and leave with curated resources to continue your open-source mobile-app journey.
No previous experience is assumed—if you’re curious about open-source mobile development and eager to take your first steps on Oniro, this session is for you.
