SASAbus is an Open Source Software application which provides to the citizens information about different routes, from the departure to the arrival point. There are many aspects which can go wrong during the way, for example that the bus is stuck in a traffic jam or, even worse, there are no bus stops in the surrounding area. Often is faster travelling by bike, picking them up from the different renting points in the city. In the future, citizens can use Smartphones for finding out the different opportunities and choose the best one for travelling low-cost, green and in a short time.
Thanks to Open Data technologies, “SASAbus” will help to choose the best solution for individual needs, and to answer much more questions then today. The past and the future of SASAbus, that is how we can play the “Open Data game”.
