The fragmentation of the smart device ecosystem —from consumer IoT to embedded industrial systems— has led to siloed solutions, vendor lock-in, and poor user interoperability.

Oniro, an Eclipse Foundation project, offers a compelling, vendor-neutral, and fully open-source alternative: an operating system platform and development framework designed to power interoperable smart devices across verticals. With Oniro, developers can build once and deploy across a heterogeneous fleet of devices, while ensuring software composability and regulatory compliance from the start.

This talk will introduce Oniro as a global collaborative effort built on transparency, openness, and technical excellence. Furthermore, the cooperation with OpenHarmony and Oniro’s European DNA position it well to comply with emerging software regulations.

Join us to explore how Oniro is shaping the next generation of open, interoperable, and regulation-ready smart ecosystems.
