Designing solutions to enable system interoperability is an issue of communication and conceptualization of the problem. A clear separation between our conceptualization and the solutions we design prevent us from seeking the “right” choices in the “wrong” development stage. In this presentation, we share our experience with the AlpineBits Alliance and the Open Data Hub in harnessing well-built conceptualizations to design an API for the exchange of data on the tourism domain showing why and how a proper separation of concerns allows us to implement better solutions.
