OPSI is an Open Source Client Management System for Windows clients and is based on Linux servers. Sportler AG introduced OPSI for providing remote installation and software patch management for 300 clients in enterprise. It is a showcase on how to reduce costs and to create a compact, robust and scalable solution for one of the last remaining operation fields, the workstation maintenance.
