During the past 18 years, a small number of projects and initiatives have conquered the formerly proprietary-only field of cellular communications networks and implemented FOSS for the various protocol stacks from Radio Access Network to Core Network.
This talk presents an overview about existing implementations of 3GPP cellular network elements for 2G to 5G cellular networks, using which you can build a (lab, research, private, campus) cellular network.
Given the complexity of the topic and the large number of network elements and software projects, this will be a very brief introductory overview only.
