Infomobility services in Piedmont region are backed by open source tools since 2014. OpenTripPlanner routing engine was originally adopted for a bicycle planning service and then extended to a multimodal service for the whole region.
The web app www.muoversiatorino.it, designed and developed by 5T in 2017, leverages the Digitransit platform, which adds to OTP more functionalities like RT predictions and vehicle monitoring.
