Dicio voice assistant

Dicio is a FOSS app, published on F-Droid, that can listen to voice commands and perform actions on the phone as instructed. It supports many different skills and input/output methods, and it provides both speech and graphical feedback. Dicio can interpret requests in 11 languages thanks to contributions from the community. All speech processing, including wake-word recognition, speech-to-text conversion, and natural language interpretation, occurs entirely on-device.
The talk will focus on: 1) the available features and their rationale, 2) the implementation challenges faced, 3) the design choices made to enable community contributions of new languages and skills, 4) a roadmap for future development, 5) the app’s technology stack, and 6) existing alternatives for other platforms.
