Device neutrality is the policy concept that users should have the right of non-discrimination of the services and software they use, based on platform control by hardware vendors, manufacturers and service providers. It is a concept that involves the fair and non-discriminatory use of Free Software in devices.
The talk will explain why Free Software is fundamental to implement Device Neutrality and the latest activities the FSFE has been conducting to leverage end-users interests in controlling technology.
