Planned to cover the whole map of South Tyrol with thousands of points of interest, the Beacon Südtirol – Alto Adige project was started in May 2018. The decision as to which hardware should be used fell quickly to the Beacon technology. The project provides an SDK for Android and iOS devices, which allows developers to receive enriched information once one of the project’s beacon has been discovered.
This talk will give you a short overview on what the Beacon Südtirol – Alto Adige project is, how beacon technology works and what the project is intended for.
