Accelerating territory’s development through Open Data

In recent years, Open Data has revolutionized the way governments, companies and individuals access and use information. The openness of public and private data represents a milestone on the path towards a more transparent, participatory and competitive society.
Open Data represent a resource for society and businesses and contribute to the development of a territory. This added value manifests itself in various forms, including transparency and democratic participation, technological innovation, economic development and improved services.
The talk will focus on specific case studies from the Open Data Hub in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, a region which has shown a strong commitment to the adoption and promotion of Open Data.
Through the analysis of these cases, the aim is to demonstrate how the initiatives based on Open Data have led to concrete and tangible results, offering useful and applicable insights also in extra-regional contexts.
