Stefano Pampaloni

He created his first Internet Service Provider in 1995, building the entire service infrastructure on Open Source software. Over the years, he founded several Internet and telecommunications companies, gaining extensive technical and managerial experience, particularly in IP-based communication and collaboration systems.

Since 2005, he has been a Director of Seacom srl, which became the distributor of Zimbra in Italy and one of Europe’s most experienced companies in the implementation and support of this collaboration platform.

A long-time supporter of Free and Open Source Software, he combines a strong commitment to digital autonomy with a pragmatic view of Open Source business models, aiming to align the benefits of collaborative development with the needs of enterprise adoption.

In April 2026, he was appointed OpenSearch Foundation Ambassador, further strengthening his role in promoting open, community-driven technologies and independent digital ecosystems.
