Paolo Cavallini is the CEO of Faunalia, an Italian company entirely focused on Open Source, in particular on GIS software. For the last 20 years Faunalia has developed many tools for GRASS, QGIS, PostGIS, QGIS-Server, LizMap and many other Open Source software.
Paolo has been the Chair of QGIS.org from 2018 to 2020, co-founder of GFOSS.it (GFOSS.it – Italian Geographic Free and Open-Source Software Association), charter member of OSGEO (Open Source Geospatial Foundation), co-founder of ITPUG (ITalian PostgreSQL User Group) and Member of IUCN – The World Conservation Union – Species Survival Commission.
