Mathias Stuflesser directs the Administration of Ladin School and Culture in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/South Tyrol — the public body responsible for education and cultural policy and adminsitration across the Ladin-speaking valleys of the Dolomites.
Over the past years his office has pushed a string of EU-funded projects aimed at digitizing and safeguarding Ladin language and culture, DIGI-RLF among them, alongside INTERREG cross-border initiatives and Erasmus+ mobility programmes.
Stuflesser, a trained linguist, had also served as director of the Office for IT Demand Managment of the Autonomous Province of South Tyrol, next to other leadership positions, such as the one of school headmaster. He had started his professional career working as a project manager on the SPELL project for crafing a unified standard for the written Ladin language.
