Lorenzo Stucchi

I'm a GIS Analyst at OverIT. My passion for open-source mapping and geospatial technologies led me to serve as the National OpenStreetMap Coordinator for Wikimedia Italia and as a charter member of OSGeo.
I completed my studies with a PhD in Environmental and Land Planning Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico – R.S.E. S.p.A. My thesis was about a methodology for defining suitable areas (D.Lgs. 199/2021).
Additionally, I contribute to my local community as a town councillor, focusing on technology innovation and fostering energy communities. With a blend of professional expertise and academic rigour, I strive to make impactful contributions to the field of GIS and beyond.
