Julius Emig is a scientific collaborator at Fraunhofer Italia – IEC in Bolzano with a diploma degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Civil Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden in Germany. He is specialised in the fields of Structural Engineering and Data Interoperability. His work at Fraunhofer Italia aims at the digital transformation of the construction industry by developing concepts and software prototypes for industrial clients or as part of regional and European research projects. This includes the intensive use of the BIM methodology and the extraction, manipulation and analysis of data related to construction processes. Furthermore, he develops BIM interfaces and simulation-tools for thermal analysis of buildings.
