Giuseppe Aceto
Relatronica
AI Ethicist
Giuseppe Aceto has a multidisciplinary background in design and analysis, with a deep commitment to exploring the ethical implications of artificial intelligence. His work focuses on critical issues such as algorithmic transparency, fairness in AI models, data ethics, and the profound social impacts that emerging technologies can have on diverse communities. Giuseppe collaborates with CERN and several international organizations, aiming to bridge the often wide gap between cutting-edge technology, ethical reflection, and societal needs. He is particularly interested in how responsible AI development can be grounded in democratic values and inclusive practices.
As co-founder of Relatronica, a Zurich-based startup, Giuseppe leads an experimental design lab that uses speculative and critical design methodologies to explore future AI scenarios. Relatronica is also actively involved in dissemination and public engagement, raising awareness about science and AI ethics, and fostering critical debate through workshops, talks, and collaborative projects.
Combining his philosophical background with hands-on design expertise, Giuseppe works at the intersection of technology, ethics, art, and policy-making, advocating for AI as a tool for equitable, transparent, and sustainable progress. He is also deeply engaged in the Free Software movement, promoting open-source principles as fundamental to ethical and accountable AI development.
