Giulio Genova is a PhD student in Mountain Environment and Agriculture at the University of Bozen/Bolzano in collaboration with Eurac research. His research interests include modelling the spatial distribution of soil properties, the role of trace metals in soil functioning, and water use efficiency in agriculture. He uses a data science approach to answer scientific questions. He is passionate about open source software and open data and has developed several web-based apps to visualize and disseminate his scientific results.
