Antonella Sassu is a Senior Manager of Product Design B2B at Dow Jones, with extensive experience as an Experience Design Lead. Prior to Dow Jones, Antonella held significant roles at King, where she was a Creative Workstream Lead for Curated Experience and UX Lead for Monetization in Candy Crush Saga, impacting players across 200 countries and 20 languages. At King, she drove creative vision, coordinated team efforts, contributed to goal setting with OKRs, and monitored user journeys by integrating UX and data. She also championed accessibility for neurodiversities and other abilities as a CAN lead and Gator ambassador, and promoted the internal use of AI as a CAKE champion.
Before King, she was Acting Head of UX at NaturalMotion – Zynga, where she built the UX department, defined processes, hired talent, and established UX as a sign-off partner for new live features. Antonella’s consulting experience includes a significant tenure as Lead User Experience Designer at IBM Interactive Experience, where she mentored junior designers, presented design solutions to clients like British Petroleum and Deutsche Bank, and managed project timelines. She also led brainstorming sessions and translated complex business requirements into functional designs. Her earlier career includes roles at Vodafone Group Services as Senior User Experience Designer, NetwellCASALA as an Interaction Design Researcher focusing on health monitoring for older adults, and HeyStaks as a User Experience Manager, where she focused on social search and recommendation systems.
Antonella holds a Taught Master in Interaction Design – HCI from Progetto INDEX and has certifications in Applied Behavioural Science. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and Sardinian, with limited working proficiency in French
