Anne is policy and advocacy manager at AlgorithmWatch. After her studies in communication and political sciences in Münster and Leeds (UK), she moved on to do a PhD on technologies and people’s digital media practices in increasingly digital democracies. She has been involved in many projects researching the interrelation between digital media technologies, society and democracy. Lately she has been working as a scientific manager/advisor and conceptualized a strategy for enhancing civic engagement in the cultural sector for a large regional association in Germany. She has served as chair for the young researcher network within the European association of media and communication scholars (YECREA).
