Andrea Zaninello graduated in Applied Linguistics at the University of Bologna, where he worked as a research assistant in the Corpus Linguistics research group, and in Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh, where he specialized in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. His research interests mainly concern the representation of semantic information, the automatic processing of non-compositional linguistic expressions (multiword expressions), and machine translation. Since 2012 he has been working for Zanichelli Editore as editorial and digital coordinator in the school sector, and as editor and lexicographer in the dictionary sector. Since 2016 he has been editorial responsible for the Zingarelli dictionary of the Italian language. Since 2019 he has been working with Sineglossa as a creative technologist.
