Senior technician
Andrea Vianello is a senior technician at the Center for Sensing Solutions of Eurac Research. He received his BSc in Geographical Information System in 2003 at the University IUAV of Venice and a second BSc in Forestry Science at the University of Padua in 2009. He received his MSc in Geographical Information System and Remote Sensing in 2014 at the University IUAV of Venice. He has been working at ISMAR-CNR in Venice from 2003 to 2016 as spatial data manager with a focus on data sharing on the web. He managed also a sensor network for underground water monitoring and high precision GPS measurements. From 2016 he has been working at Eurac Research to manage the Spatial Data Infrastructure and web services for spatial datasets fostering the FAIR data principles.
Main areas of research: Data sharing, GIS / web-GIS, OGC standards, Data Bases, Data Management.
