Andrea Rosani is a researcher and lecturer at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, where he focuses on machine learning, computer vision, and AI ethics. With a background in computer engineering, his research explores interpretable and privacy-preserving AI methods, particularly in biomedical and industrial applications. He has led and contributed to several open-source initiatives aimed at making advanced AI accessible, transparent, and responsible. Dr. Rosani also co-founded Melixa Srl, a technology startup developing AI-powered solutions for sustainable beekeeping. At the university, he teaches courses in programming, AI, and data science, and actively promotes the integration of open technologies in ethical AI development. His current interests include explainable AI, edge computing for privacy, and FOSS-based toolchains for scientific reproducibility.
