Digital Independence Day – Open Discussion on Digital Sovereignty

Digital independence is becoming an increasingly important topic for communities, organisations and individuals relying on digital technologies every day. This informal Birds of a Feather session is an open space to discuss what digital sovereignty and independence can mean in practice: from Free Software and open standards to decentralised platforms, the Fediverse, privacy, sustainable infrastructure and European alternatives to Big Tech. No formal presentations are planned: participants are invited to bring their experiences, questions, concerns and ideas and help shape an open discussion about how we can build a more diverse, resilient and independent digital ecosystem together.
